Oasis Belgium works with Thai women in prostitution.  Many of these women have been trafficked to Belgium and see no option outside of prostitution to pay off their debts. 

Nari is a Thai woman in her forties, working in one of the many Thai massage parlors linked to the sex industry in Belgium. When we got to know her a little better, she told us that she had been married to a Belgian man and for the twelve years before her divorce was a victim of domestic abuse. Throughout her marriage she worked in a massage parlor and she is still involved in the sex industry. Although she has been passed to a different brothel, she has no freedom to leave the house where she lives and works. Nari told us that a lot of her Thai friends in Belgium are in the same situation, and they don’t know where to go. Oasis is helping her receive the care she needs and to find opportunities to leave the sex trade.
