Oasis Kyrgyzstan is working with children at risk who have been neglected and even imprisoned.  Some have been trafficked.  Oasis goal is to see these children immersed in a community where they can reach their God-given potential.

Ronny is from Kyrgyzstan. His mother is an alcoholic and does not want to take care of him. His father was in prison for many years and shortly after he was released he died from tuberculosis. Ronny started living on the streets when he was seven years old. The last five years he has been at a state-run reform school. There he joined the Oasis street hockey team and has discovered that he plays well. This is the first time he has played on a team and his confidence and self-esteem have soared. He is currently in the last (ninth) grade and hopes to go on to a technical school next year to start training for employment.
