Start Freedom

Start Freedom

Take part in START FREEDOM

Start Freedom is a global campaign designed to educate young people on the issues surrounding human trafficking and empower them to make a difference.  The campaign is built upon a series of four lessons (for ages 12-14 and 15-18), which are designed to be taught in the school classroom.  The program encourages the students to respond to what they have learned about human trafficking by making a short film or video, writing a poem, painting a picture, or starting a Stop the Traffik club on their campus.

Start Freedom was launched on October 14, 2009 with a live broadcast from the U.N., and it will culminate in March 2010, with young people from around the world participating in Start Freedom Week on the web.  Students will post their responses to the Start Freedom lessons and will learn how others around the world have responded to this issue.  Visit www.startfreedom.org to learn more about the campaign and to download all the resources you need to Start Freedom in your school.
